Nascent Hydrogen

If you like chemistry and love to understand chemical phenomenons then, surely you all have a similar question that is the definition and property of Nascent Hydrojen and really what is it?

>> In today's session we will discuss about Nascent Hydrogen.

>>> Nascent Hydrogen is the hydrogen, produced incontact with the substance to be reduced. It is denoted by [H]. It is much more reactive because hydrogen at the moment of its formation is more reactive than the ordinary hydrogen gas.
When ordinary hydrogen is passed through acidified Potassium Permanent(KMnO4) Solution or Ferric Chloride(FeCl3) Solution, neither of them is reduced. However when Zinc(Zn) pieces are added, both get reduced.

>Reaction -
            Zn + H2SO4  - - - ->  ZnSO4 + 2[H]
       2KMnO4 + 3H2SO4 + 10[H] - - > K2SO4 + 2MnSO4 + 8H2O

>>> It is believed that a part of energy liberated in the reaction producing hydrogen become associated with hydrogen molecules and thus, make them hyper active. In generalthe reactivity order of these hydrogen as -
Ordinarily Hydrogen < Nascent Hydrogen <Atomic Hydrogen.
