Full Bridge Rectifier

Full-Bridge-Rectifier

Necessary Objects :- 1) One AC-input source,
                                    2) One Transformer,
                                    3) Two Diods,
                                    4) One load resistance.
Working Principle :-
The AC-current which came from the AC-input, is connected with the transformer. For the first half of the AC-input, the 'D-1' diod will be in forward bias and the 'D-2' diod will be in backward bias at that moment. So, current will flow through the 'D-1' diod but the current will not be able to flow through the 'D-2' diod. In another half of the AC-input, the 'D-1' diod will be in backward bias and the 'D-2'diod will be in forward bias. Here, current will flow through the 'D-2' diod but it will not able to flow through the 'D-1' diod at that very moment. Here, the two wire which came from two diods are connected to a same point which further extended to A'. So, A' will be always positive and the B will be always negative.

The output refill will be two times than the input refill. That means, if the input refill will be 50Hz, then the output refill will be 100Hz.
Uses :- It mostly used in AC to DC converter.
